The international Iron man event was held here in Mactan-Newtown this past weekend. Lot’s of people from all over the world were here to watch, cheer on and compete. A lot of people that live here in the condos left town for the weekend be cause of the noise and traffic. It was certainly loud and tons of people.

And yet even more! I would guess there were about a total of 50-75 police available for the event. They were scattered through out the route so during the event, you didn’t notice that many.
For those of you that prefer video content I compiled a short 1.5 minute video so you could experience some of the vibe that was present. I also included a couple of funny pics I captured on my way to one of the malls.
People powered bicycle. The Philippine people have imagination and ingenuity. Notice the flags on this bicycle.
Pictured here is what appears to be a husband and wife transporting a motor and boat drive shaft. I don’t know if you can see the propeller at the end of the shaft or not.
In my next post I hope to include content discussing a long time hobby of mine, Aquariums. I found an aquarium shop in Cebu that will custom build fish tanks. I’m looking forward to seeing what they create for me.
